More than 200 different types of cells exist in the human body. Why do you think these cells are important for various body functions?

It helps the body function, as an example even though blood cells, white blood cells and platelets are a connective tissue, they all have different functions. Like the white blood cells fight off foreign bodies in the blood stream.

Different types of cells play different roles in the various body functions. For example, only sperm cells and egg cells are capable of producing offspring. The body also has specialized cells that produce specific substances the body needs, such as hormones.
