To find:-

  • The measure of angle 5 .

Answer:-

Here lines AB and CD are parallel to each other . So when a pair of parallel lines are intersected by a transversal, then ;

  • Corresponding angles are equal.
  • alternate interior angles are equal.
  • sum of co interior angles is 180° .

Here we can see that ∠3 and ∠5 are alternate interior angles, so they will be equal. It is given that the measure of ∠3 is 52° . Therefore the measure of ∠5 will be ,

==> ∠5 = 52°

Hence the value of 5 is 52° .

and we are done!

Answer:

Angle 5 = 52°

Explanation:

Angle 5 and Angle 3 are alternate angles because of the parallel lines AB and CD. Thus, they have the same value.
