2. Which ordered pair is the solution to the system of equations?
x - 4y = 6
3x + y = -8 so y = -3x - 8
substitute y = -3x - 8 into x - 4y = 6

x - 4y = 6
x - 4(-3x - 8) = 6
x + 12x + 32 = 6
13x = -26
x = -2

y = -3x - 8
y = -3(-2) - 8
y = 6 - 8
y = -2

answer
B. (−2, −2)

3. Which ordered pair is the solution to the system of equations?

-3x + 4y = -20
x + 4y= -4
-----------------subtract
-4x = -16
x = 4

x + 4y= -4
4 + 4y= -4
-4y = -8
y = -2

answer
B. (4, −2)

The second question you wrote
-3x + 4y = -20 x + 4 = -4
second equation was missing y so i assumed it's x + 4y= -4....If so then use my answer for second one, If not, don't use it.
