The first thing you should know is that there are properties for logarithms.
One of them is the following one:
Let a and b be numbers, by property of logarithms:
log (a * b) = log (a) + log (b)
Therefore, by applying the property shown we have:
log 8 + log 3 = log (8 * 3)
log 8 + log 3 = log (24)
the answer is
log 24

log 24. The formula for logarithmic addition is log (a) + log (b) = log(ab). Substituting 8 and 3 for a and b respectively gives the result log 24.
