a² + b² = c²
3² + 4² = c²
9 + 16 = c²
C² = 25
C = 5
so
SM = 5

Answer:

SM=5\ units

Explanation:

We know that

The diagonal SM of the rectangle LMTS is equal to (applying the Pythagoras Theorem)

SM^(2)=SL^(2)+ST^(2)

we have

ST= 3\ units, SL=4\ units

substitute the values

SM^(2)=4^(2)+3^(2)

SM^(2)=25

SM=5\ units
