Karen is selling ice cream sundaes to raise money for her school orchestra. She wants to purchase the least expensive ice cream, chocolate sauce, and sprinkles so she can earn maximum profits from her sundae sales. The ingredients are all sold at different prices in different-sized packaging so Karen is confused about which ingredients are more expensive and which are less expensive. Help her find the least expensive ingredients based on unit price. Part 1: Karen must choose between these three brands of ice cream: Arrowhead Dairy A 1-quart container costs $3.60. Ben’s Happy Cows A 1-pint container costs $2.30. Carmela’s Creamery A 1-gallon, 1-quart container costs $19.00. Karen has tasted all three and she likes them all—so she wants to use the least expensive of the three in her sundaes. Based on the unit price of the ice cream, which of the three brands should Karen buy? Show your work and justify your response

1-quart = 950ml
1-pint = 475ml
1-gallon= 3785ml
1-quart of arrowhead dairy = 950ml costs $3.60
1-pint of Ben's Happy Cows = 475ml costs $2.30
1-gallon of Carmela's Creamery = 3785ml costs $19.00
1 ml of arrohead dairy costs 3.60/950 = $0.0038
1 ml of Ben's happy cows costs 2.30/475 =$0.0048
1 ml of Carmela's creamery costs 19/3785 = $0.0051
so Karen to make profits she should buy Arrowhead dairy ice cream brand because it's the cheapest per unit.
