The blood group of Sam’s father is A+ and that of his mother is B+. However, Sam’s blood group is AB+. What is the correct explanation for this?

Blood type is multiple alleles. Humans have A, B, or 0. A and B are both equally dominant meaning that if one parent had type A, and the other had B, the child would have AB.
