The answer is letter C. From your given, if you will interpret it by numbers, then the equation is 1/2 + 1/8 + 1/8 + 1/2 - 1/4 = 1
Solution
1/2 + 1/2= 1
1/8 + 1/8 = 1/4
so 1 + 1/4 - 1/4 = 1
This is the reason of the answer which is in a whole note.
