y= 1/2x -3
when x = -2 , y= 1/2x -3 = 1/2(-2) - 3 = -1 - 3 = -4
when x = 0 , y= 1/2x -3 = 1/2(0) - 3 =0 - 3 = -3
when x = 2 , y= 1/2x -3 = 1/2(2) - 3 = 1 - 3 = -2

table
x y
-2 -4
0 -3
2 -2

You can use 3 points on the table above the graph the function
