the formula you use in order to find the slope would be= y2-y1/x2-x1

first step:2-(-5)/4-0

second step: 2-(-5)=7

third step:4-0=4

fourth step: 7/4

Answer:

Slope of the line passing through the points (0, −5) and (4, 2) is
(7)/(4) .

Explanation:

The equation of the slope is given by

m=(y_(2)-y_(1))/(x_(2)-x_(1))

As given

The line passing through the points (0, −5) and (4, 2).

m=(2-(-5))/(4-0)

m=(2+5)/(4-0)

m=(7)/(4)

Therefore slope of the line passing through the points (0, −5) and (4, 2) is
(7)/(4) .
