The 1500s were a period that had a great economic expansion. This expansion had a significant part on many other changes, being them political, cultural, or social, in the early modern age. The economic expansion was achieved by many facts and one of them was the Columbian exchange. Europe had more products and was more developed. All those things increased the lifespan of the average European, which cause a growth in the population.

One of the factors was the Columbian exchange.
It is known as Columbian exchange to exchange plants, animals, minerals, people and even ideas that were between America and Europe. This exchange raised the quality of life of people in Europe because I bring riches to the old continent, more food, and technology. The new technologies and plants allowed people to have access to new foods, improving their diet and extending their life expectancy.

I hope this information can help you.
