a. The expression that we will be using is: perimeter = 2L + 2W


b. Perimeter = 2 (length) + 2 (width)


Perimeter = 2 (5 feet) + 2 (7 feet)


Perimeter = 10 feet + 14 feet


Perimeter = 24 feet


Stan needs to buy 24 feet of trim.
