Given x-3/4=x/10 find the LCD. It is 20, as both 4 and 10 divide evenly into 20.

Then you have 20x - 15 = 2x, or 18x = 15, or x = 15/18, or x =5/6 (answer).

Answer:

x = 5

Explanation:

(x-3)/4 = x/10

=> (x-3)(10) = 4x

=> 10x - 30 = 4x

=> 10x - 4x = 30

=> 6x = 30

=> x = 30/6

=> x = 5
