Use (8m + 4m) as the length of the parallelogram and 7m as the height. Then the area is (12 m)(7 m) = 84 m^2.

Area=84 m^2
area of the triangle= 1/2*4*7=14
the area of the other triangle is also 14.
area of rectangle=8*7=56
56+14+14=84 m^2
