The bicep muscle has an attachment point at the shoulder and one in the upper forearm. Look at these images of the bones of the arm. Imagine that the point of the arrow is where the force of the biceps muscle is applied to the bone.

Which image would result in the biceps muscle contracting and the forearm being lifted?
-A
-B
-C
-D

The answer is A.
If the bicipe muscle contracts it will bring the forearm up because the insertion of this muscle is in the forearm.
One of the functions of this muscle is flexing the elbow, which would result in the action i already mentioned.
It couldn't be B, because that would be the work of another muscle, the triceps.
