the answer is +e, i got 100% on it for plato. I figured it out as if a quark is x so whats 2x-1x = x because x represents 1, so i guessed that e was for quarks and since it was positive it had a plus sign in front of it

Answer:

+ e

Step-by-step explanation:

The charge on an up quark is +2e /3

The charge on a down quark is -e/3

Charge on two up quarks + one down quark = +2e/3 + 2e/3 - e/3

= + e

The charge is + e.
