Answer : The number of atoms of gold is,
1.32* 10^(22)

Explanation : Given,

Mass of gold = 4.25 g

Molar mass of gold = 196.96 g/mole

First we have to calculate the moles of gold.

\text{Moles of gold}=\frac{\text{Mass of gold}}{\text{Molar mass of gold}}=(4.25g)/(196.96g/mole)=0.022mole

Now we have to calculate the number of atoms of gold.

As, 1 mole of gold contains
6.022* 10^(23) number of gold atoms

So, 0.022 mole of gold contains
0.022* (6.022* 10^(23))=1.32* 10^(22) number of gold atoms

Therefore, the number of atoms of gold is,
1.32* 10^(22)
