You have to answer this problem basically in reverse.

First you have to multiply 2 by 3 which gives you 6.

That means, that x+4=6

Now, you can just do 6-4=2

x=2

First, try to get x all by itself.

(x+4)/3= 2

Multiply 3 on both sides.

x+4= 6

Subtract 4 on both sides.

x= 2

That is your answer!
