Erica can travel 12 miles
subtract 1.75 by 10. Then divide that number by .65
Hope this helped! (:

x= the total distance Erica can travel
1.75 + .65x= 10
The 1.75 is the initial rate and the .65x is the cost of traveling x miles. The 10 represents how much money you spend which is $10.
1.75 + .65x= 10
.65x = 8.25
x= 12.6923
Erica can travel about 12.5 miles for $10
