5/5 will be a whole, when it comes to 5ths, since she spent 2/5 of her money, 5/5 - 2/5, she has left 3/5 of the whole then.
then she spent 4/9 of her 3/5 leftover, how much is 4/9 of 3/5? well, is just their product,
