Nearest ten thousands
54248 rounded to the nearest ten thousands is 50000 because 4 is less than 5 ( remember to look at the place value on the right of the digit to determine if you round up or down. 5 and higher round up. 4 and lower round down.
378819 rounded to the nearest ten thousands is 380000
380000 + 50000 = 430000
430,000 is your answer
Hope this helps
