Hello there,

So what we need to find how many number of costumes that can be made using ONLY 11
(1)/(4).

The first thing we would do is
(3)/(4)
÷11
(1)/(4)
.

Your answer this this would be
(1)/(15)
.

To recheck this. . . We do
(1)/(15)
 x
(3)/(4)
. . .

Your answer would be 11
(1)/(4).

That is how you recheck your work.

Your correct answer would be
(1)/(15)

Hope this helps! :)

turn 11 1/4 into an improper fraction:

11 1/4 = 45/4

now you have 3/4c = 45/4

now divide both sides by 3/4

c = 45/4 / 3/4 which = 45/4 * 4/3 = 180/12 = 15

15 costumes can be made
