Answer: Her speed is 4.4 m/s, and her velocity is 0 m/s.

Explanation:

Required formula :

\text{speed}=\frac{\text{distance}}{\text{time}} (Scalar quantity)

\text{velocity}=\frac{\text{displacement}}{\text{time}} (Vector quantity)

Given : The length of track = 400 meters

She has to complete four laps around the track.

Then , the total distance =
4*400 = 1600

Time taken yo complete race = 6 minutes =
6*60 = 360\text{ seconds}

[∵ 1 minute = 60 seconds.]

\Rightarrow \text{speed}=(1600)/(360)=4.44\text{ m/s}

i.e. Her speed is 4.4 m/s.

Also, when she completes each lap , the starting point is equal to the terminal point , it means the displacement would be zero.

\Rightarrow\ \text{velocity}=(0)/(360)=0\ m/s

Thus , her velocity is 0 m/s.

So the statement that best describes her speed and velocity : Her speed is 4.4 m/s, and her velocity is 0 m/s.
