In figure 8-11 assume that the student the student placed plant a in direct sunlight for 2 days. How would the rate of photosynthesis of this plant compare with that of a plant under normal growing conditions? I need help answering this question. My answer is that plant a would get larger in size and that it produces more glucose and co2.

Correct. In ideal conditions, the plant placed in direct sunlight will exhibit more photosynthetic reactions given that there is an adequate water and carbon dioxide resource. The plant may or may not get larger because growth and size will depend on the plant species but rather the plant will just produce more energy (in the form of glucose) for itself.

I wanna correct that plants do not produce carbon dioxide but rather consume them for photosynthesis.

Take note that the answer above is set ideal, laboratory maintained, conditions. Placing a plant in direct sunlight for 2 days will likely dehydrate the plant by evaporating the plants source of water and will cause the plant to wilt.
