I live in a neighborhood that populated mostly by Asian ethnicity in a part of New York (i came from Taiwanese heritage).
Every day after school, We're (me and my big brother) told by our parents to help them taking care of a small electronics store that our family owned.
The fact that i had to spent time after school at the store would means that i had less enough time to study which i believe will not help my academic score in anyway.
But, i feel that i gained other lessons beside academic theory (such as how to manage time, how to interract with people, how to handle simple accounting, etc)
