Solution: Space to be left as open = 60% of 2400 square ft. = 2400 * 60/100 = 1440 sq. ft. Space left for display = 2400- 1440 = 960 sq ft. Size of each display = 10 ft * 4 ft = 40 sq. ft Number of displays that can be fitted in the store = Space left for display / size of display = 960 / 40 = 24 24 displays can be put up in the store.

Answer:

Total number of displays i can fit are 24

Step-by-step explaination:

Here, we are plannng to purchase displays for store which has 2400 sq ft of selling space.

Given that each display has a footprint of
10 ft* 4 ft.

and also we want to leave 60% open space in store for walking around. so, firstly we have to find the area of space which leave open is

Open space area =
2400* 60%

= 1440 sq ft

The area which is used to fit the display is 2400-1440=960 sq ft

No. of displays =(Total area)/(Areaof display)displays

=
(960)/(40)=24 displays
