There are a total of 35 in the two clubs and 10 not in either. That makes 45 students, however there are only 32 in the class which means 45-32 = 13 students in BOTH clubs. So if we want to find how many are in only one club we can say 32 = 13 + 10 + x
x = 9 students in only one club
