If one side of the product is larger than the enthalpy, it will be a endothermic reaction. Endothermic reactions absorb energy frm which it comes from the environment which can happen at some points of the reaction.

Exothermic is a chemical reaction in which heat is released. Lightning a candle is an example of an exothermic because the flame is the heat being released
