Melcher used 24% of the memory card on his digital camera while taking pictures at a family reunion. If Melcher took 96 pictures at the family reunion, how many pictures can the memory card hold?

The memory card can hold a total of 400 pictures. Just divide the number of pictures Melcher took by the percent of memory it took.
Also, percent means out of a hundred, so 24% means 24/100= 0.24. Just do 96 ÷ 0.24 = 400 total pictures that the memory card can hold.
