Coat price=x
Suit price=y or 2*x

We know that the total cost is 291

x+y=291
x+2*x=291
3*x=291
x=97

The coat price is 97 and the suit price is 194

C = 2S

2S + S = 291
3S = 291
S = 97 $
C = 194 $
