Hello,

2A/3 = 8+4A

Subtract 4A

2A/3-4A=8+4A-4A

Simplify

2A/3 - 4A/1

2A/3 - 4A/3

Combine fractions:

2A-3x4A/3

Simplify

2A-12/3
=-10A/3

Refine:

-10A/3=8

Simplify

3(-10A/3)=3(8)

-10A=24

Simplify

-10A/-10=24/-10

A= 24/-10 divided out by 2 = -12/5

Thus, A= -12/5

so you multiply 3 on both sides to cancel out the denominator.  which gives you 2a=24+12a. Subtract 12a on both sides. -10a=24 which is a=-2.4
