What is the fundamental liberal/conservative divide on economics? what is the difference between equality of opportunity and equality of results?

1. The fundamental difference would be the amount of government involvement.
Liberals tend to favor a lot of government involvement in economy (which allow huge amount of welfare programs to be distributed from taxpayers earning)
While conservative tend to favor less government involvement in economy (which allow huge corporations to thrive)

2. equality of opportunity - a concept that believe everyone should have same opportunity to achieve success and fair treatment in society no matter which social group/identity they belong to.
quality of condition - Everyone should have an equal share of worldly goods no matter what social class or talent that they have.
