The project responsibilities section of the project plan should describe the major project functions and activities and identify those individuals who are in charge of them. This section is useful because it keeps the project from being disorganized and falling behind schedule due to individuals either doing too much work or too little work. Everyone knows their role and should be able to handle their given duties. The section also keeps the team focused since it outlines project activities and functions. This should allow the team to be able to create an acceptable schedule, budget and allocate resources well.
