A graph shows y=x^2 translate to graph y=(x-5)^2

It will be a shift to the right 5. Directly influencing the X, and it is reversed -5 becomes 5 right and +5 would be 5 left

Move the vertex of the parabola 5 units to the right. Because if you have x^2, then you would only have to plug in 0 to make the y=0. But if you have (x-5)^2, to make y=0, you need x to equal 5.
