Julissa has 15 stamps and Ethan has 14 stamps. Pawel has three times the number of stamps as Julissa and Ethan combined. Julissa thinks that 100 is a reasonable estimate for the number of stamps that Pawel has. What is an estimate of the number of stamps that Pawel has? Is 100 a reasonable total

32; 100 is a reasonable total
90; 100 is a reasonale estimate
213; 100 is not a reasonale estimate
630; 100 is not a reasonable estimate

yes it is because if you round 14 to 15, and add 15 and 15 you get 30. Then do 30 times 3 to get 90. Round this to the nearest hundred and you get 100.

Answer:

90; 100 is a reasonable estimate

Explanation:

Given,

The number of Stamps Julissa has = 15,

Also, the number of stamps Ethan has = 14

So, the total number of stamps both Julissa and Ethan have = 15 + 14

= 29

According to the question,

The number of stamps that Pawel has = 3 × the combined number of stamps both Julissa and Ethan have

= 3 × 29

= 87

≈ 90 ( nearest tens )

Also, the nearest hundred of 87 is 100,

Hence, 100 is a reasonable estimation,

SECOND option is correct.
