CAN YOU PLEASE HELP ME WITH THESE AND THREE OTHERS

1.
In a population, purple flowers are dominant over blue flowers. Determine which statement below is NOT correct.

Purple flowers must be either Pp or PP.

Purple flowers and blue flowers can both be homozygous.

It is more of an advantage to the purple flower to be homozygous dominant.

Blue flowers must contain two recessive alleles.
2.
Mendel concluded that sexually reproducing organisms contribute only one copy of each factor to each of their egg or sperm cells. This was the basis for his

Law of Independent Assortment, because Mendel was responsible for the pollination of each plant physically and that altered the genes in each sex cell.

Law of Segregation, because individuals have two forms for each trait and they must separate during the formation of eggs and sperm.

Law of Segregation, because the two forms of each trait must come together to create a blending of the two in each offspring.

Law of Independent Assortment, because the male copies of a trait must go to the sperm cells and the female copies to the eggs.

Answer: The correct answer in 1) question is- It is more of an advantage to the purple flower to be homozygous dominant.

As per the question, purple flower is dominant over blue flower, which is a recessive trait.

The possible genotype for purple flower is PP and Pp ( meaning that purple is produced in both heterozygous and homozygous dominant condition). On the other hand, genotype for blue flower is pp. Both flowers can be homozygous.

2) The correct answer is - Law of Segregation, because individuals have two forms for each trait and they must separate during the formation of eggs and sperm.

According to law of segregation, the alternative forms of a gene ( allele that corresponds to a particular trait) segregate from one another during the process of gamete formation. This is also called law of purity of gametes.
