divide the c
omposite figure into 2 pieces, so then you have a rectangle and a trapezoid.
area of rectangle = 6 x 8 = 48
area of trapezoid = 1/2(4+8)(6) = 36
so
area of composite figure = 48 + 36 = 84 m^2
