In this question we are most likely discussing Elizabeth Cady Stanton, women's rights activist and one of the drafters of the "Declaration of Sentiments" drafted in 1848. Though the title, "Declaration of Sentiments," gives one the idea that it is "sentimental," it is indeed a logical argument that states that men and women are equal and deserve to be treated equally. The declaration not only proves how women have been mistreated in the past, but also shows how women should be treated as equals in a well-laid-out, logical way.

If you are referring to Elizabeth Cady Stanton's Declaration of Sentiments, then the answer should be reason. She wrote it in the same manner in which the Declaration of Independence was written which was written in such a way to not be emotional or persuasive, but rather to present a logical and reasonable conclusion based on what was happening.
