Since there is two sides you would times 88 by 2 which would give you 176. Then subtract that from the total so 310-176= 134. Then divide that by to and you would get 67 for the width

The equation to calculate perimeter of rectangle is (length+width)x2
Therefore, we can use algebra to solve this question.
Let the width be w,
(88+w)x2 = 310
88+w = 310/2
88+w= 155
w=155-88
w=67
Therefore, the width should be 67 feet.
