PLZ HELP ASAP!!!

In this assignment, you are to research and find an instance where password cracking or social engineering led to a breach in information security. This breach can involve a company or the government. If you have a personal example, feel free to use that. Otherwise, be sure to cite your sources. Use Google or another search engine to find examples. Create a new document and save it as Security_Breach_Your_Name. Write a one-page, double-spaced paper in Writer or Word that describes the breach, how the breach happened, and why. Suggest a way it could have been avoided.

Answer:

I said,

If I was an employee of a business and I have administrative permission over the company's network and resources. Then, I receive a malicious email that looks as if it was sent by my boss that I need to change access codes and I go ahead and change the access codes and send it back to the email without confirming with my boss over a phone call or asking him why I should change it. Then all of a sudden, the company experiences and information breach and we lose a lot of important files that would cost the company a lot of money. Then out of nowhere, our rival company starts sprouting and becomes more successful than us.

This could be avoided by installing firewalls, anti-virus software, proper validation and confirmation of requests before acting.

The employee should have confirmed with his boss if he actually wanted him to change the access codes of the company's network but he did not and as a result, cost the company is resources and allowed their rivals take over.

Step-by-step explanation:
