Given: Mass m = 3.0 Kg Radius r = 0.20 M Velocity = 2 m/s

Required: Centripetal Acceleration ac = ?

Formula: Centripetal Force Fc = mac ac = mv²/r

Fc = mv²/r

Fc = (3.0 Kg)(2 m/s)²/(0.2 m)

Fc = 60 N

Fc = mac Derive ac or centripetal acceleration

ac = Fc/m

ac = 60 N/3.0 Kg

ac = 20 m/s²
