y = 3x + 2

The slope-intercept form is y = mx + b

The 'm' of the equation is the slope. Lucky for us, the problem already gives us the slope, which is 3.

y = 3x + b

Now, we need to solve for 'b' (y-intercept)

Grab a random given point. Let's say we take (0, 2)

By plugging the numbers in, we get:

2 = 3(0) + b

b = 2

Therefore, the slope-intercept form is:
y = 3x + 2
