A bruise fits under that question I believe. It shows where you were hurt, but doesn't stay for long.

Critical injuries are injuries that can cause a critical decline in a patients condition leading to life threatening complications or disability. Critical injuries can include things like spinal fractures, brain or heart contusions, or open chest wounds (pnuemothorax).

So naturally other small things like papercuts burning a small area of your thumb is not considered critical.
