Ans.

Aerobic respiration involves breakdown of glucose molecules to produce energy in the form of ATP molecule, in the presence of oxygen. During aerobic respiration, complete oxidation of one glucose molecule takes place to provide 36 ATP molecules.

Anaerobic respiration involves breakdown of glucose to provide energy, in the absence of oxygen. It shows partial or incomplete oxidation of glucose and one glucose molecule gives only 2 ATP molecules.

As 'aerobic respiration gives more ATP molecules that anaerobic respiration,' it is more beneficial than anaerobic respiration.
