Total average production per quarter = 1100 units
So, total production per year (for 4 quarters) = 1100*4 = 4400
Production, quarter 1 = 800 units
Quarter 2 = 1400 units
Quarter 3 = 1200 units
To find: Number of units of product A to be produced in quarter 4? Solution: Total production per year (for 4 quarters) = 1100*4 = 4400 units
Till now, number of units produced in 3 quarters = 800+1400+1200=3400 units
Number of units that are still to be produced = 4400-3400 = 1000 units. Production for product A = 40% 40% of 1000 = 400 units.
Number of units of product A to be produced in quarter 4 = 400 units.

The answer is "400 units".

product a = 40 percent
the aggregate plan calls for total production that averages = 1,100 units per quarter
quarter 1 production will be 800 units
quarter 2 production will be 1,400 units
and quarter 3 production will be 1,200 units
let x is the production that is in quarter 4, then
800+1400+1200+x /4 = 1100
3400 + x =4400
x = 4400 - 3400
x = 1000
So, quarter 4 production will be 1000 units
and 40 percent of 1000 = 400 units
