The ratio of a+2b to 2a-b is 5 to 1 so for every 5 of a+2b there will be 1 of 2a-b
5•(a+2b)= 2a-b
5a+10b=2a-b group together like terms
5a-2a=-b-10b
3a=-11b divide both sides by 3
a=(-11/3)b
a:b is 1:(-11/3)
