Every 3 weeks 8 students will lose their metro cards... How many will lose it in 9 weeks

If eight students lose their metro cards every three weeks then in six weeks sixteen will have lost theirs, and in nine weeks twenty-four will have lost theirs. (I think I did that right)

9/3 = 3
