To solve this we need to divide 7/8 by 2
Dividing is equivalent to multiplying by the reciprocal value
The reciprocal of 2/1 is 1/2
7/8 x 1/2
7 x 1 = 7
8 x 2 = 16
Answer: 7/16
The length of each section is 7/16
I hope this helps!

We simply divide 7/8 by 2 or multiply by 1/2.
7/8 * 1/2 = 7/16
The sections are 7/16 ft. long each. Hope this helps!
