The equation given is:
y = -7x^2 - 4x + 3

(1) The x intercept occurs at the point that has y = 0, therefore:
y = -7x^2 - 4x + 3
0 = -7x^2 - 4x + 3
(7x-3)(x+1) = 0
either x = 3/7 ......> the point is (3/7 , 0)
or x = -1 ......> the point is (-1,0)

(2) The y-intercept occurs at the point that has x = 0, therefore:
y = -7x^2 - 4x + 3
y = -7(0)^2 - 4(0) + 3
y = 3 ............> the point is (0,3)
