From the looks of it we have two negative numbers, so that means our result will be a positive

The parentheses automatically means that we're multiplying in this problem


Product = multiplication


-12(-5) = 60,right?

product is multiplication

a negative times a negative = positive

12*5 = 60

so the answer is 60
